Who's that girl?

No, there's no girl in the band.  We sometimes put vampy looking women on the posters just to attract attention.  The girl on the Johnny White poster shown here was a favorite.  It looks like she's screaming, "Boogie Chillun!"

There's no place like home.

For more than two years, the Sonra Lounge was our homebase.  Like the poster says, it was in the strip shopping mall on the side of the Joy movie theater.  At some point, they must have been showing a quiet movie in the auditorium that shared a wall with the bar, because their patrons complained that our loud music was distracting.  The theater was hands-down the big dog in that fight, so the landlord told the Sonra to shut down the live music.  After that, we only played the Sonra on Halloween.  As fate would have it, the theater went out of business about a year later anyway.
