Mark was born to be a blues man. The most important thing to him was to get gigs and perform, and the second most important thing was to get gigs with an open bar for the band. He even had a dog named Koko after blues legend Koko Taylor. After Boogie Chillun broke up, he and Creature went on to perform and record a cd as The Noble Coyotes. They still play it every now and again on WWOZ.
Currently, Mark hosts a monthly open blues jam at the Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans. Hey, hey, the blues is all right!
The baby blue bass.
Tim played a Fender Precision bass that had been modified with an added inline pickup and a baby blue paint job by the previous owner. That prior owner was none other than Vance DeGeneres, who used the instrument when he performed with The Cold in the early eighties. Vance went on to play with House of Schock, Cowboy Mouth and currently The Famous Pies. Sadly, the bass was stolen in 1991. If you know of its whereabouts, please email!
